ROSEWATER AS A GREAT TOOL FOR SKIN CARE

The best and easiest way to use rose water maybe to apply it at night, to clear all impurities the face has collected through the day; but I've listed other surprising uses which are so quick and easy, you'll be shocked. A great way to use rosewater is by spritzing it on your face. Rosewater can also be sprayed over makeup to work as a makeup setting product, the mist will leave your face radiant Fill an empty spray bottle with rosewater and spritz once you're done with your morning beauty routine to keep your face fresh and hydrated. ROSEWATER MAKE-UP SETTING SPRAY

Per 2 ounces of Rose water:

1 TBSP Witch Hazel 1 TBSP Vegetable Glycerin (Optional- adds extra moisturizing and locks it in. Get at a holistic store.) 4 drops of Lavender essential oil (optional) The nice thing about this recipe is it doesn't have to be exact with the exception of the the vegetable glycerin. Just take it easy with it - this recipe is versatile. Additional uses for Rose Water: Post shampooing, use a cup of rose water as a final rinse. It helps condition the hair deeply, adding a healthy shine you'll just love. You can use it on dry and frizzy hair. Mix equal parts rosewater and glycerin, apply on the scalp with the help of cotton pads and massage for 10-15 minutes. Let it stay for another 30 minutes and wash off with shampoo. Tired eyes. You've heard of cucumbers on the eyes, try using rose water for your tired, inflamed eyes - soak a cotton pad in chilled rose water and apply. It helps reduce puffiness under the eyes and get rid As we talked about yesterday, it makes a great Facial Toner: Wet a soft cotton ball with chilled rose water and dab it on cleansed skin. Its mild astringent properties help tighten the pores and gently tone the skin. Acne? If you're having a break out, mix 1 tbsp of rose water with 1 tbsp lemon juice and let it stay for 30 minutes. Wash with fresh water and reap the benefits. (*Note: Mast cell patients you may have a problem with the lemon juice, especially if allergic to citric acid. But fear not - I'll give you a recipe next week.) I've had terrible acne due to hormonal changes in our 40s - and I have to admit rose water and rosehip oil for acne is the best thing I've found. Finish with your beauty routine with Rosehip oil. (its a dry oil and helps with wrinkles too!!) Makeup Remover. Tried and tested, this is the best makeup remover ever. Add a few drops of warm coconut oil (or use coconut oil that has been made to stay liquid. Sold at your local holistic store) to rosewater cotton pad and cleanse your face. The mixture works wonders to wipe off makeup and nourish your skin deeply at the same time. Note: Rub gently to avoid being harsh to your skin. Love and Light, Happy Healing.
