Turmeric is so hot right now. It’s one of those amazing spices that we are seeing being used more and more. It has so many fabulous super powers! Great for digestion, reduces inflammation, helps to maintain a healthy weight and is a natural antibiotic, to name a few.

You’ve probably seen the recipes for “Golden Milk” all over pinterest and instagram. It’s made with your favorite milk, turmeric, ginger, coconut oil and usually black pepper {which can help aid in absorption}. Such a soothing, warm drink that is great right before bed. If you blend the ingredients in a blender, it creates a latté. Frothy goodness!

I decided to take make a golden turmeric smoothie with turmeric, ginger and lots of tropical fruit. Frozen bananas, frozen mango and frozen pineapple are all blended together with coconut milk and coconut oil. Turmeric is added, as well as ginger. I used ground, but you can of course use fresh.

The flavors of this smoothie just blend so well together. Neither the turmeric or the ginger are overpowering. I’m hooked and I think you will be too, on this golden turmeric smoothie. An immune-boosting kickstart to your day!
