Zit Zappin' Stick

ZIT ZAPPIN STICK: (or In-Grown Hair Blaster Stick)

Making your own products is actually easier than you may think - and once you have all the ingredients in your arsenal you'll have healthy fantastic skin.

We talked about how there are 168 different toxins a woman is exposed to every day in our hair care, makeup, lotions etc.

Going el'natural is so much healthier for you. Each of these plant based ingredients are packed with different vitamins and minerals that help feed your skin and keep it glowing and radiant.

Now I'm a HUGE fan of the rosehip oil etc. For me it cleared up ALL my hormonally charged acne. However, sometimes you need just a little extra...

So came up with a recipe that is both healthy for your skin, and in the long run ... more cost effective.

Once you have the ingredients, they LAST. So you wind up paying sooooo much less than the store bought products.

************************ 1 TBSP Candelilla Wax (or Beeswax, or Emulsifying Wax)

3/4 tsp grated cocao butter 3/4 tsp castor oil 3/4 tsp Jason's 32,000 IU Vitamin E 3/4 tsp tea tree essential oil 3/4 tsp lavender essential oil

3/4 tsp lavender essential oil or in a small metal or glass bowl. Poor enough water into the pot to come up about an inch over the side. Bring it to a simmer, and carefully put the bowl in your pot.

Keep stirring until the wax melts (5-15 min pending on the temp you use. Recommend low, no higher than 4.)

Stir in your castor oil, Vitamin E, tea tree, and lavender essential oil.

Poor into your chapstick tubes. Let it dry all the way.

Use the stick on your trouble spots after you wash and tone your skin.

(keeps for approximately 6 months)

Have wax on your utensils? Just add more water, heat it up and put your items in the pot on low heat to melt off the wax. It'll come to the top, then move it to the sink and add some dish soap and a hint more water to get it frothy!

Now the beauty of this, is that its dual use! It works just as great on In-Grown Hairs.

The tea tree oil is antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. Its properties are what works to relieve itching, redness, and burning. (and acne)

Lavender restores skin complexion and reduces acne. It has slow aging properties with powerful antioxidants. Its also been known to relieve pain.

Note, if you spill, don't worry. Just let it dry, grab your spatula and just peel it up from the counter. Put it back in the pot to remelt. Clear tubes are MUCH easier so you don't spill like I did this time.

Love and Light, Happy Healing.
